The Prince of Wales Plans to Join COP30 Climate Summit in South America
Prince William is scheduled to attend the COP30 climate summit in South America in the coming weeks, as confirmed by royal officials.
The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday evening at a event ahead of the climate summit, which is planned for in the Amazonian city of Belem.
Father and son were participating in the scientific institution event, marking an noteworthy combined presence at a climate summit preparatory event arranged together with the British authorities.
Climate Leadership Dedication
King Charles has been a long-time champion of environmental conservation - and the Prince of Wales has taken on the baton, with his own Earthshot awards, which will be held in Brazil preceding the COP summit.
Royal sources have described the Prince's participation at the next COP as stepping up an significant responsibility in "environmental negotiations".
Recent Engagements
The King and Prince of Wales, arriving together in the official car, were greeted attendees such as environmentalists, scientists, environmental activists, diplomats and government officials.
This involvement included speaking alongside French leader Macron of the French Republic and other world leaders at the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in the Principality of Monaco in recent months.

The COP30 summit will coincide with the William's personal climate innovation prizes, which will finish in Rio de Janeiro the day before he joins the climate conference on the sixth of November.
Last week the royal figure characterized the Earthshot finalists as "modern-day pioneers".

King Charles has been a prominent presence at earlier environmental conferences, giving the opening address in the United Arab Emirates for the 28th Conference of Parties, including the observation: "We are custodians of the planet, not its owners".
"For decades I've committed a large proportion of my life trying to warn of the existential threats facing us over global warming, global temperature increases and species extinction," the monarch informed participants.
